Description:  Immediate Fill Opportunity. DTS Support Specialists provide expert travel planning and administrative support to the INSCOM client, including the planning and management of available travel resources, DTS User Support and technical assistance services to ensure effective and efficient DTS operations. They provide training for DTS users and operators, and review DTS transactions. They enroll new users in local databases and register profiles, in accordance with policies and procedures at the local level, and ensure all users are aware of processing procedures and requirements. They provide monitoring assistance at the organizational level to ensure compliance with requirements, and to advise local managers on changes to policy, procedure, and similar requirements.  Their professional, customer oriented advice and assistance to local and distant customers is crucial to smooth operations and effective management of travel funds. They also advise and assist clients in managing Government Travel Cards, Purchase Cards, and similar unit-level funding programs, accounts, and resources.

 

Qualifications Required:

Security Clearance:  TS

Special Access / Access Eligibility: SCI

Polygraph:  Candidates must be able to pass a Counterintelligence Polygraph if requested.

Education:   Associate’s Degree in a related area. Candidates may substitute 2 additional years of DTS experience for an Associate’s Degree.

Credentials: Has completed DTS training.

Skills: Communication skills to effectively interface with senior military officials, managers, and subordinates

Experience: Has a minimum of 5 years of experience providing DTS support, 3 years with a related Associate’s Degree.

 

Additional Qualifications Desired:

Experience supporting INSCOM;

Experience providing travel/itinerary planning, scheduling, and accounting;

Experience/exposure to the Defense Travel Regulation, the Defense Travel System, and US Military/US Army travel planning and management;

Experience/exposure to Government Purchase Cards, Unit Fund Management, and similarly relevant Government/Military training and responsibilities.
